ABOUT DRAMA CAMP:
Ages 7 - 12
In our two-week-long sessions, campers learn theatre skills, make a mini movie, and act in a culminating performance. Skills taught include improv, projection, staging, dancing, character work, clowning, acting on film, and more. Campers also get the experience of being a part of an ensemble, the performance equivalent of a team! Our passionate staff bring unique skills and perspectives to each session.

ABOUT TEEN “A” CAMP:
Ages 13 - 17
In our two-week long sessions, our “A-Campers” learn and build on theatre skills, culminating in a final showcase performance. We search for compelling, 2-3 person scenes from professional plays and cast the campers in roles that will challenge them. Skills and workshops this year will include improv, projection, staging, character work, clowning, stage combat, and more! Campers also get the experience of being a part of an ensemble: the performance equivalent of a team! Please be advised that the content in the these scenes may have adult language and content.

Every camper must bring lunch daily. We provide limited snacks every day.
Campers should wear comfortable clothing that allows for freedom of movement, and shoes that are secured with laces or straps.
After the script is given out, campers must bring it back to camp every day.

We start each day at 9 am with games and exercises, so it is important to be on time! If you are going to be late, please email education@ccct.org.
Please make arrangements for your child to be picked up promptly at 4:00 pm. If your child is not picked up by 4:05, a late fee may be applied.
CCCT does not provide supervision before or after camp.

Each summer, one of our wonderful staff members writes original shows, just for our camp! While the plots change every summer, the shows always have:
A comedic storyline with many different characters and pop culture references
Roles for every camper ages 7-12
A fun dance number choreographed and taught with ages 7-12 in mind
Creative and flamboyant costumes
Lights and sound!
The performance will take place at 7pm on the second Thursday of the camp session. Each camper will receive a limited number of tickets to be used for the performance. Campers will come to camp at 9am and stay until the show ends around 8:30pm. A pizza dinner will be provided. If your child cannot eat this, plan to send them with a bagged dinner that day.

CCCT has a zero tolerance policy for any violent or inappropriate behavior toward other campers or staff members. If violent or inappropriate behavior occurs, we will issue an immediate dismissal.
CCCT expects all campers to respond to instructions, adhere to safety guidelines, and participate with the group.
Behavioral issues will receive ONE warning. If the issue persists, CCCT reserves the right to disinvite the camper in question from camp.

On the first day of camp, we have a friendly “audition” where each camper gets on stage and performs a piece in front of everyone. The purpose of this is for the staff to see each camper’s skill and comfort level on stage on day one. The piece must be a two-minute (or less) memorized audition piece in English. This can be a poem, standard monologue, passage from a book, etc. Some students even recite the ABCs! Pick something easy and fun. We are looking for stage presence, vocal projection, and of course, pizzazz! Encourage your child to shine!
