MANAGING DIRECTOR

Contra Costa Civic Theatre, established in 1960 in El Cerrito, CA is seeking a Managing Director (MD).  The MD reports to the Board of Directors and works collaboratively with the Artistic Director.  The MD is a leader, responsible for maintaining an effective team internally, evangelizing CCCT to our patrons and extended community, and cultivating effective relationships with all aspects of the organization.  The MD is responsible for generating, directing, and overseeing the day-to-day administrative, marketing, fundraising and other non-artistic activities in a thriving community theater, entering its 54th season in the fall. Bettianne and Louis Flynn founded Contra Costa Civic Theatre (CCCT) in 1959 with a vision to establish a quality community theatre in El Cerrito.  We are excited to be preparing for our 54th season!  We are looking for passionate and enthusiastic directors with a clear and detailed vision.  If you would like to be considered for our 2014/2015 season, we would like to know more about you, your work and the production you would like to propose.

Information you might want to know about our theatre:

  • CCCT is a 199 seat theatre

  • Proscenium stage

  • Limited full-height fly space

Below is the information we are looking for in order to evaluate the viability of producing your show at CCCT.  The more detail you can provide, the better.  The pages following include more specific explanations:

  • Your resume and a brief letter introducing yourself

  • The play or musical you are pitching

  • Your vision of the production

  • Production staff – we will consider any requests

  • Cast information

  • Orchestra information (if applicable)

  • How will you use our specific space – special tech requirements?  Unusual aspects of the show?
